Sourcing for an electricity and gas company
Background
The electricity and gas company’s continued success had been underpinned by operational telecommunications (optel) services, which provided communication for the protection and control systems within the electricity network. The optel services had a complicated history and as such a complex web of commercial arrangements had developed.
The project
The electricity and gas company’s legacy contract was due to expire and it appointed Hudson & Yorke to provide strategic sourcing guidance and support for the future delivery of optel services.
